Project summary

Harbor Coffee is a conceptual brand identity project for a San Diego–based coffee shop inspired by the city’s iconic landmarks and coastal culture. The branding system blends local heritage with modern design to create a warm, community-driven visual identity. The project includes logo development, typography, color palette, and brand application across digital and print assets.

THE IDEA

The identity takes inspiration from San Diego’s waterfront, combining two recognizable symbols: the Unconditional Surrender statue and the Coronado Bridge. These elements were simplified into bold, scalable logo marks that balance tradition and modernity. The color palette pulls from the ocean, harbor tones, and warm sunlit accents, while typography adds a clean yet approachable personality. Together, the system establishes Harbor Coffee as a neighborhood hub rooted in local pride.
